Back From Virginia

I’m finally back from the Holidays. Holidays meant spending the Christmas with my parents at Suffolk, Virginia. The weather had been quite nice while I was there but it rained twice which is just fine for me. If you’re not from Virginia you wouldn’t know this but Suffolk is Virginia’s largest city. When I was a kid, my dad and I would explore parts of the Great Dismal Swamp to see the great wildlife. From Lake Drummond, we boat and traverse its clear waters but staying near the banks where the sand is red. The Swamp harbors flocks of many bird species because it is rich in bird meal like snails and frogs - yes frogs! Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to explore the swamp again during the Holidays but no matter, my dad and I agreed to do it in the summer; the swamp is great in the summer.

Anyway, there had been no complications or accidents while driving back. Thank God for my trusty Rubicon. It can really hold its own on trails especially those upward grunts that can really put a strain on the engines.
