Jeep launches New Ad for the 2008 Liberty

While checking out for some Jeep and Volvo car cover, I found this latest press release from Jeep. Check it out.

Chrysler LCC’s marketing division will allow the all new 2008 Jeep Liberty model to hit the airwaves by releasing a new advertising campaign for the vehicle. In fact, Jeep’s advertising campaign for the vehicle with the tagline "Have Fun Out There" has been already launched in the national TV.

"The Jeep brand has grown from three vehicles to seven in less than two years, but the DNA that has distinguished the brand for more than 66 years is still evident in the all-new Jeep Liberty. With off-road capability that is uniquely Jeep and new features, like the Sky Slider, which provides that open- air Jeep brand experience, the Liberty gives new meaning to ‘Have Fun Out There.’" said John Plecha, Director — Jeep Brand Marketing and Global Communications.

Aside from the two 30-second TV commercials, the new marketing campaign for the 2008 Jeep Liberty will also conquer other media including print ads (magazines include Backpacker, Best Life, Bicycling, Blueprint, Domino, Entertainment Weekly, ESPN, Freeskier, GQ, Lifetime Fitness’s Experience Life, Lucky, Marie Claire, Men’s Fitness, Men’s Health, Motor Trend’s Sport Utility, Truck & Van Buyer’s Guide, National Geographic Adventure, Real Simple, Shape, Ski, Skiing, Sports Illustrated and US Weekly.) and the internet including placements in Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, Google, and other popular websites. In addition, the marketing campaign will be also integrated in numerous events including vehicle displays and signage in Jeep World of Adventure Sports, Jeep King of the Mountain, and Winter X Games.

Chrysler Wants You to Lick the Sweet Jeep

As a part of celebrating the 85th anniversary of the Sweetest Day in Cleveland and to celebrate the arrival of the all-new 2008 Jeep Liberty in dealerships all over the United States, Chrysler LLC’s Jeep brand will participate in the Sweetest Day event by conducting the  "Sweetest Day the Jeep Way" challenge on October 18th. This sweet challenge will allow contestants to actually lick one of the seven Jeep models covered with chocolate. Whew!

The first two contestants who liked the choco-covered Jeep clean will have a chance to go to the next level. They will make their way into a Jeep Liberty model filled with chocolate and candy bars, and find a key to a brand new 2008 Jeep Liberty with a Sky Slider roof. The first contestant to find the key can bring home this brand new Jeep model in his/her garage.

So if you are interested to join the "Sweetest Day the Jeep Way" challenge, you must be 18 years of age and above, and must be a legal resident of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Interested contestants should register online at www.SweetestDayTheJeepWay.com from September 18 to October 11.

John Plecha, Director - Jeep Brand Marketing and Global Communications said: "With the growing popularity of Sweetest Day, the Jeep brand wants to give consumers the opportunity to celebrate ‘Sweetest Day the Jeep Way.’ Jeep vehicles love to get dirty, but instead of covering the vehicles in mud, we’re going to cover them in chocolate and let participants have fun getting the chocolate off. The prize – an all-new 2008 Jeep Liberty. With the launch of the Liberty, the Jeep product line has grown from three vehicles to seven in less than two years. Like a box of chocolates, we think there is now a perfect Jeep for everyone."

If you are eligible for the "Sweetest Day the Jeep Way" challenge, register now and who knows?  You might lick a Jeep, find the key, and drive it home. That is so sweet! I wonder what it tastes like licking a Jeep off-road model with chocolate car cover. Hmm.

Anyway, the "Sweetest Day the Jeep Way" event will also donate a total of $7,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, courtesy of the Chrysler Foundation. The amount will be used to finance the organization’s missions and other goals.

Watch out for this event this coming October, as well as the arrival of the 2008 Jeep Liberty model.

Jeep Reveals Wrangler Unlimited-based J8

Chrysler is bringing back the iconic off-road military characteristics of its Jeep models with the release of the Jeep J8 multipurpose vehicle at the recent 2007 Defence Systems & Equipment International (DSEi) military trade show. The event is described as "the world’s largest fully-integrated defence exhibition, bringing together senior international visitors and military influencers in an optimal business environment."

The Jeep J8 is based on the al-new 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited model. Jeep engineers enhanced the vehicle’s capability, functionality, and versatility.

Thomas Hausch, Vice President – International Sales, Chrysler LLC.
“Jeep vehicles made their original debut in 1941 for military duty, and have built their reputation with more than 65 years as the world’s benchmark for off-road capability and versatility for civilian and military vehicles. The new Jeep J8 marks the brand’s return to vehicle production for military and civilian government use – the same capability that makes the Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited famous also makes the Jeep J8 a truly multipurpose vehicle.”

These enhancements made to the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to create the Jeep J8 include:

-    reinforced frame for increased ruggedness and greater payloads up to a maximum of 1,339 kg (2,952 lbs.)
-    Axles, brakes and suspension components are engineered for more demanding military and civilian government use
-    leaf-spring suspension system in the rear and J8’s Command-Trac four-wheel drive system
-    powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that pumps out 158 hp (118 kW) and 295 lb.-ft. (400 Nm) of torque
-    towing capability of up to 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs.)
-    five-speed automatic transmission
-    unique air-intake system with special filtration and a hood-mounted snorkel that enables the J8 to wade in water up to 762 mm (30 in.) deep

The Jeep J8 will be available in 2-door or 4-door variants. As a military vehicle, the Jeep J8 is
fully armor capable and can perform various military duties such as command vehicle to troop/cargo carrier, ambulance, and communications vehicle. The Jeep J8 will roll out in markets starting in the spring of 2008.

With this new Jeep model, Jeep is bringing back its tradition of producing high quality vehicles for military and defense purposes. Anyway, I have to go now and look for Jeep and Mazda water pump replacement parts. Ciao!
