Jeep is also poised to present a new model variant at the upcoming 2007 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show. The automaker recently announced that it will introduce the Jeep Wrangler Ultimate at the show featuring exclusive features inside and out from the Chrysler LLC’s Mopar division. The Wrangler Ultimate will add up to the extensive range of Jeep Wrangler models including the Wrangler Unlimited and Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

The Jeep Wrangler Ultimate will be heading to 2007 SEMA Show equipped with a monstrous 392 HEMI crate engine and Jeep catalytic converter on the vehicle’s high performance exhaust system. According to Jeep design team, they "set out to create the best of the best – combining high style and materials with the best off-road machine ever offered by Jeep."

Toray Ultrasuede America, Inc. (TUA) recently announced that the Alcantara interior material will be available in a wide range of vehicle models from Chrysler LLC including the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep brands.

According to Derick C. Fronda, Executive Director of TUA:
"We’ve been very excited to gain momentum this past year by working with the Big Three American automakers to make Alcantara(R) more widely available in the U.S., most recently in select Dodge and Jeep models. American automakers continue to expand their Alcantara(R) offering so consumers can experience the high quality and durability of the material."

Chrysler LLC’s Jeep off road brand releases the 2008 model of the Compass compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) equipped with a bunch of new features inside and out and " delivers fun, freedom, utility, excellent fuel efficiency and Jeep 4x4 capability at a terrific value," according to the Auburn Hills automaker.

The 2008 Jeep Compass will roll out in US marker featuring a world-class powertrain that offers both performance and fuel economy. Under the hood of this sleek off road model comes a standard 2.4-liter World Engine (for Jeep Compass Sport and Limited models) that produces 172 horsepower (129 kW) and 165 lb.-ft. (222 Nm) amount of peak torque. The engine features dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) on the intake and exhaust camshafts. Models equipped with this engine will feature a standard five-speed manual gearbox to complete the powertrain package.

For customers looking for more fuel efficiency and low exhaust emission, the 2.0-liter World Engine is available, pumping out 158 horsepower (117 kW) and 141 lb.-ft. (191 Nm) of torque. The 2008 Jeep Compass can achieve 23 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway with this powertrain unit.
